• Memories of Jocks and Jocks Who Wear Them

True memories from high school and college. My interest in jockstraps,
cups, spandex compression shorts, and speedos fully developed in high school
    – I attended a boarding school in Massachusetts in the early 90s. To this
day, I still treasure the memory of specific scenes, moments, and faces that
    aroused me. Where to begin?

The locker room. At an athletic prep school. Many good memories there of
sneaking peeks at very hot guys slipping on jocks or jocks with cups. This
was still a day in which guys actually wore plain jocks (which doesn’t seem
to be the case so much now), although spandex shorts were definitely
    becoming more popular too.

    These are real guys.

Adam, a really handsome varsity hockey and lacrosse player, talking to me
casually while he slipped on a regular jockstrap, a pair of Nike comp
shorts, and then a jock/cup combo. It was the first time I saw someone
    “double-jock.”

Owen, a rather short but stocky football player, who untangled his jock/cup
while talking to another player. When he pulled up his jock over his boxers,
I could see him looking down and hear him knocking on his cup.

Andy, a lean wrestler and lacrosse player who was also in my math class.
When I stopped by to talk to him, over his shoulder, I could see his
jockstrap — plus a jock/cup — hanging by their straps from the top hook in
    his locker.

Fred, who was playing intramural soccer (not even competitive soccer), and,
to my surprise, asking the equipment manager for a jockstrap. Just a plain
    jock for IM soccer!

Corey, a gorgeous lacrosse player with short brown hair, who was pulling on
a jock/cup over black spandex shorts. I remember the sight but also the
sounds of guys with the lacrosse sticks tossing balls around the locker
    room.

Brian, two years below me who was this tall god-like athlete with blond
hair, who pulled a jockstrap — just a plain jockstrap — out of his locker
and held it while I said hello and talked to him about stuff. Did he, did
any of them, every notice my boner?

For four years, I lived in dorms with athletic, 14-17 year olds. Hormonal,
yes, but I won’t lie: I never saw anything homoerotic happen, except for one
strange case. I remember that two of the guys would regularly have wrestling
matches in one of their rooms wearing nothing but spandex shorts. Maybe they
were pretending to be pro wrestlers (neither actually competed on the
wrestling team), but I’ve long suspected it was something more than that.

Other dorm sightings mostly involved watching guys put on or take off their
jocks before or after practice. Or discovering hockey equipment bags in the
basement laundry rooms, since the dorm rooms were so small. Doors were open
    and the conversations were casual.

Kevin pulling on his jock/cup for baseball; the same for Dominic and his
    lacrosse practices.

One afternoon, I remember Kevin asking around to other guys in the dorm if
they had a spare cup because he had forgotten his for baseball practice and
didn’t want to run all the way back to the equipment room in the gym. “Dude,
do you have a cup I can borrow?”

Jarrett laying out all his hockey equipment on the floor of his dorm to make
sure he had everything, including his jock/cup.

Jeremy hanging up white comp shorts and his jock/cup for soccer on a
clothesline strung across his room, because he insisted on hand washing them
    every night.

One guy, Gus, actually talked to me about why it was so comfortable to wear
spandex comp shorts under his jock/cup for lacrosse. In fact, I have a
distinct memory of Gus leaning on my dorm room bed and opening his legs to
show me a peek of his spandex shorts (which he was wearing casually under
his regular lacrosse shorts around the dorm). Hot.

That was a trick that I used then and still use today: getting “real”
athletes to talk about jockstraps and cups and comp shorts. You don’t make
it obvious that you want to talk about his sportswear — which guys would
find weird — but you act real casual about it.

In college, I had no legitimate excuse to wander into locker rooms and guys
certainly didn’t show off their athletic equipment as much as they did in
boarding school, so the casual conversations were important: anything to
hear a jock talk about jocks.

“So what do lacrosse players wear below the waist anyway? They don’t look
like they’re wearing any pads?” (I full well know the answer!)

“You played football in high school? Man, I was too small. Too much
equipment anyway. What stuff did you have to wear?” (And then I would
gradually steer the conversation so that the guys was talking about wearing
    or not wearing a cup.)

“I didn’t know you wrestled. Did you guys wear cups in case your opponent
grabbed you in the nuts?” (For the record, I’ve never met a wrestler who’s
ever worn a cup under his singlet for competition. Jocks, yes,
tightie-whities, yes, but not a cup.)

“I heard on NPR today about a company that’s doing really well. Underarmour.
Have you heard of it?” (I asked a former football player who then talked
about how much he loves his UA shorts for running.)

Now in my late 20s, my jock fetish really feeds off of the Internet, but
this is hardly satisfying. It’s one thing to look at pictures of gay porn
models in jockstraps, but it’s entirely different to come across a picture
of something “real.” Or to read about real memories, not fantasy memories.

Good “real” photos are like these:

Athletes at a party wearing nothing but Underarmour shorts. Hockey players
at an initiation ceremony wearing nothing but jockstraps. Lacrosse players
where you can see the waistband of their jockstraps peeking out over their
shorts. Wrestlers where you can see the jockstrap underneath their singlets.
Hell, I even enjoyed the hidden locker room pics of wrestlers who were
pulling on jockstraps and singlets — it reminded me a little of my high
    school days.

So that’s what excites me now. “Real” pictures, “real” sightings of “real”
jocks who wear jocks. I guess this is because I have such rich memories from
high school. I crave the real thing.
